Live Scratch Free
Tips for Scratch Free Lenses Tip 1: Choose a great Anti-Glare
Choosing an anti-glare lens that is a better quality will absolutely prolong the life of your lens. A Crizal Alize coating, for example, has easy cleaning technology, resistance to dirt/dust and great cleanability which in the long run, can prevent scratching.
Tip 2: Know how to clean your lenses
Cleaning sprays and microfiber cloths are great and serve a wonderful purpose, but the best way to clean your glasses is extremely simple. Soap and water. Seriously! No need to spend money on pre-moisened wipes from a big optical chain or CVS, when the safest thing for your lenses (and your frames) are every day household items.
Tip 3: Use your case
We have a saying here at Loptique. If they arent on your face, put them in the case. We know that carrying a case around can be a bit of a hastle sometimes but utilizing your case is extremely important in extending the life of your lenses and frames.
Not only are glasses here to make you look great, but youve got to see out of them too. ;) |

Antique Gold is the New Black
At L’optique, we strive to serve the unique customer. The customer who does not want a name brand stamped on their glasses, who wants something different, who wants to stand out. We do this with every brand and frame we carefully hand select and sell in our store, keeping our customers in mind. As some of our customers love colorful, funky styles we also have those that love all things vintage! For them we carry Retrospecs Eyewear. The company was started by Jay Owens, restoring gold-filled 1940’s frames in his 18-foot recreational vehicle. Traveling the world, he collected and restored frames all over the United States. From American Optical, Bausch & Lomb to Shuron Optical, Owens collected these mass produced frames that were made out of 1/10 12k gold-filled wire – a material that was developed to last forever! Once the company expanded, Retrospecs starting restoring cellulose acetate and combination frames manufactured after WWI from 1940’s-1980’s. Stand out. |

Hoffman horn frames are luxury eyewear that sets you a part from the rest. |

Blue Light Reality
How often do you look at your phone? Your computer, ipod, tablet, television? Every single one of these items are projecting harmful blue light that can be damaging to the eye. As technology is getting better, our vision suffers. With an aging population, cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) will double in the next 30 years. A large cause of this change is due to harmful light, both UV and blue light. For many years lenses have been made to have a UV coating protecting your eyes from harmful rays, but there has never been a need to have protection from blue rays. Until now. The Crizal Prevencia lens is a revolutionary coating made for the protection of your eyes. This lens is the first clear lens on the market that selectively deflects harmful Blue-violet light and tests have showed that this lens resulted in a decline of retinal cell death by 25%. You only have one pair of eyes to last a lifetime, we at LOptique feel obligated to educate and help give you the best. Not only do we want you to look great with quality frames, we want you to see well with quality lenses. |
